A whole heap of test sites..
As a team we were pondering on the number of test Zingzam communities we have created as part of our development and testing since January...
Well I've cleared out the test communities on my desktop machine 3 times - each when I got to around 300 communities. So that's at least 900 for me.. we reckon team wide (and in staging environments) it's around about the 4000 mark since January 2010. Wow!
The reason for creating so many is that whenever we develop a feature, improve a feature or make any change really we are constantly building new communities as part of the test process. Furthermore - as well as testing that the feature works on a brand spanking new community - we also need to test the migration of existing communities to the version in development. That's a whole heap of test scenarios. Good thing we have the infrastructure to create a Zingzam community with one command!
