What changes do I need to make to the nameservers of a domain I own in order to get it to resolve to my Zingzam community?

The domain name is historicalhousemarkers.com and the Zingzam community, as it's currently named, is historicpreservation.zingzam.com.

We can add your domain to your Zingzam community once you've paid for your site.  I see that you have so you only need to follow steps 3 onward.  The overall process is straightforward.

  1. Signup for your free trial
  2. Pay for your site
  3. Send a request to support@zingzam.com with your Zingzam sitename and the domain name you want to point to Zingzam
    1. In your case: historicalhousemarkers.com and www.historicalhousemarkers.com pointing to historicpreservation.zingzam.com
  4. We will update your community to accept the new domain and send you an email confirmation
  5. Update your DNS using a CNAME record, in your case add these two records (note that you might have to remove existing A records)
    1. historicalhousemarkers.com. CNAME historicpreservation.zingzam.com.
    2. www.historicalhousemarkers.com. CNAME historicpreservation.zingzam.com.

Note that DNS entries are cached around the world.  It could take up to a week for your changes to be visible to everyone.
